The Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner has released the findings of a public consultation regarding the proposed relocation of Beverley Police Station from New Walk to County Hall. Police and Crime Commissioner, Jonathan Evison, said “Thank you to everyone who completed the survey, giving your views on the relocation proposal. I would also like to thank Local Councillors who took the time to hear proposals and feedback on behalf of their communities. I remain committed to listening to residents and will consider these findings carefully in future planning.” The consultation, conducted via My Community Alert and supported by local outreach and social media, received 634 responses. The majority of respondents were residents of the three policing wards closest to the proposed move—St Mary’s, Minster and Woodmansey, and Beverley Rural. Desire for More Information: Commissioner Evison continued “I now have clarity on what our communities require from their local Police Station, I will now be going back to the Humberside Police Estates department to ask for further options that will be more aligned to the public’s views. Policing will continue as usual for the time being operating from the current location until further solutions are brought for consideration.” | ||
